Hybrid Working: Based at our Bracknell Head Office with a flexible hybrid model (typically 1 day per week in the office, primarily Tuesdays, with ad-hoc visits as required by business needs), we support a healthy work-life balance.
What you'll be doing:
As the Partnership's Junior SOC analyst, you'll be on the front lines of our cybersecurity defenses, responsible for monitoring and triaging security alerts, conducting initial incident investigations, and either resolving basic issues or escalating more complex ones. We're seeking someone with a solid foundation in IT, keen attention to detail for accurate incident logging and prioritization, and strong technical problem-solving skills. A genuine passion for cybersecurity is highly valued, evidenced by activities like home labs or CTF events. You'll also contribute to enhancing our security posture by offering feedback and recommendations on use cases, playbooks, policies, and custom tools.

What you'll have:
A demonstrable experience in SOC and knowledge gained through working within a technical IT department or helpdesk
A proven ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and to succeed in ambiguity.
Excellent attention to detail with an analytical mindset and a solution-focused approach to problem solving.
Clear and effective communication skills, both in speaking and writing, to collaborate with both internal teams and external partners.
You'll be adept at analyzing information and transforming it into actionable insights that are easy to understand and act upon.
A foundational understanding of security controls and cyber attack types.
