Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading the board reporting process, including developing and checking the reports. Engaging with senior leaders to understand the business needs and develop the reports as necessary.
  • Being a subject matter expert in dealing with retail performance queries by acting as an escalation point for complex queries and ABOR/IBOR reconciliation issues.
  • Supporting the performance analysts in calculating performance, attribution, and ex-post risk across retail funds.
  • Ensuring data relevant to the firm's funds is regularly attested to on platforms like Lipper and Morningstar.
  • Helping reduce key person dependencies through training and mentoring the performance analysts as required.
  • Continuously seeking to understand and satisfy client requirements. Working closely with partners in Product, Investments, and Distribution to ensure the performance service evolves and delivers value to clients.
  • Maintaining and demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of retail performance, including understanding the firm's product ranges and fund types, and sharing this knowledge with the wider Performance team.
  • Ensuring appropriate procedures and controls are in place for all performance processes and functions.
  • Ensuring that all reports are independently checked and of high standard before distribution.
  • Deputising for the Performance Team Manager in meetings and projects.

Experience required:

  • Prior experience in a Performance role
  • Extensive experience in dealing with retail queries
  • Experience with Lipper and Morningstar performance systems
  • Experience leading performance projects and process improvements
  • Experience with programming and visualization tools (Python, SQL, VBA, Power BI)
  • Knowledge or experience in equity (index and active), multi-asset, and fixed income is desirable
  • Performance analysis and ex-post risk statistics; understanding and experience in equity attribution
  • Ability to present knowledge effectively to the wider team
  • Excellent verbal communication skills for liaising with senior management
