RF Planner (3D Atoll Aster Ray/5G MIMO, Open RAN) - Germany

Overview:
We are urgently seeking two experienced RF Planners to support a 5G rollout project in Germany. Candidates must be proficient in 3D RF planning using Atoll (Aster Ray tracing) and comfortable working with 3D Infovista maps.

Documented 3D RF planning experience IS A MUST! others will be rejected

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and optimize 4G/5G radio networks based on coverage, capacity, and quality KPIs.
• Operate and manage 3D propagation models (Atoll Aster Ray tracing).
• Perform nominal planning, link budget, and frequency/channel planning.
• Conduct antenna configuration design (tilt, azimuth, height, and site layout).
• Support 3D map handling and propagation model activities (2D/3D).
• Handle MIMO planning, including selection between 32T and 64T MIMO configurations for 3.5 GHz 5G networks.
• Work within 5G SA/NSA and Open RAN environments.
• Collaborate with optimization and performance teams for model tuning and validation.

Requirements:

• Solid hands-on experience with Atoll (Aster Ray); knowledge of Asset or Planet is a plus.
• Experience with 3D RF planning and propagation model calibration.
• Understanding of MIMO, 5G NR spectrum (3.5 GHz), and antenna principles.
• Familiarity with Open RAN planning concepts.
• Previous experience in European RF planning projects preferred
