Grocery Shop Floor Manager - Naas, Kildare

Store: A convenience supermarket in Kildare town. Approximately 25 employees. Requires a shop floor manager with experience supervising staff and supervisors within a convenience store or another supermarket. Opening and closing duties may require attendance at 6-7 am and 8-10 pm.

• Strong attention to detail
• People management skills
• Business acumen - able to grow sales, control P&L, control costs
• Grocery or fresh food knowledge, ideally within retail supermarket or convenience shop environments
• Strong organisational skills - prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, achieve results in a high pressure environment
• Flexibility to work different shifts, mornings and evenings

Responsibilities

• Store Operations Management - Oversee daily store operations, ensuring a smooth and efficient running of the store in absence of senior management; maintain high operational and merchandising standards.
• Departmental Oversight - Take ownership of designated departments, focus on driving sales, enhancing profitability, ensuring optimal stock availability; manage supplier relationships.
• Team Supervision & Development - Lead, supervise, and support departmental teams, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Customer Service Excellence - Deliver outstanding customer service, handle queries and complaints, implement customer engagement strategies to increase footfall and retention.
