Job Description
The business are based in London and operate a hybrid working model of 3 days in the office and 2 from home.
Job responsibilities Delivery New Business- Work closely with the Private Market deal teams, understanding the operational implications of a deal (accounting considerations, cash flows, valuations, and structuring considerations where applicable). Assist in the implementation of new or existing operating models, ensuring understanding is documented.
- Collaborate with external third-party providers and internal stakeholders to ensure new service provisions meet deal and structure requirements.
- Liaise with Performance, Risk, Legal, Compliance, and Finance as required.
- Ensure smooth settlement of cash movements.
- Manage asset setup and settlement instruction maintenance.
- Oversee the funding of mandates, request FX transactions, and generate subscriptions, redemptions, and distributions.
- Coordinate with the Public Markets funding function.
- Perform daily cash and stock reconciliations and escalate issues as needed.
- Oversee the accounting/IBOR reconciliation process and resolve issues.
- Operate with minimal errors.
- Coordinate with Aztec (external fund accountant) to monitor mandate guidelines and provide regular summaries.
- Report risk events within 24 hours on the accelerate platform.
- Provide data for weekly operating reports.
- Prepare slides for the Alternative Operations oversight meeting.
- Develop and maintain relationships with Aztec for fund administration.
- Engage with other third-party providers as appropriate.
- Manage relationships with JPM for listed portfolios and private market mandates.
- Participate in third-party service reviews as required.
- Seek training opportunities to enhance skills.
- Aim to improve personal skill matrix scores annually.
- Build strong relationships across the internal supply chain from initiation to delivery.
- Develop close working relationships with PMG and third-party service partners.
- Part-qualified accountant preferred; strong academic record required.
- Right to work in the UK without visa sponsorship.
- Operational experience within an alternatives manager or third-party administrator.
- Knowledge of multiple products (Private Equity, debt, direct and fund-based).
- Fund structuring knowledge is advantageous.
- Problem-solving skills with independent thought.
- Experience with Bloomberg AIM is desirable.
- Attention to detail.
- Proven track record of initiative and project delivery.
- Flexible approach to re-prioritization.
- Positive can-do attitude.
- Strong Excel skills.
