Practice Manager, Future of Work & Productivity Systems

Hybrid (UK/US/India based, with client travel as needed)

Flexible full-time - built around outcomes, not hours

About the Role:

We are seeking a strategic and people-first Practice Manager - Future of Work & Productivity Systems to lead the development of our workplace innovation and organisational design capability.

This role will shape how ojas.design helps clients design and implement adaptive operating models, rethink ways of working, and build cultures that support purpose, wellbeing, and performance. You will lead client engagements, grow internal expertise, and influence how the future of work is understood and delivered across physical, digital, and cultural systems.

Key Responsibilities: Practice Development

Design and lead ojas.design's Future of Work practice, developing tools, methods, and offers in organisational effectiveness, workplace strategy, and new productivity systems

Define core services across hybrid work strategy, team operating models, digital collaboration ecosystems, performance enablement, and change adoption

Shape and evolve a flexible delivery approach that works across sectors and organisational scales

Client Engagement

Lead client programmes focused on designing new ways of working, operating model transformation, and workforce enablement

Provide strategic guidance to senior leaders navigating workforce disruption, culture change, or technology-led transformation

Facilitate discovery, co-creation, and implementation of sustainable, people-centred work systems

Capability Building

Build and support a multidisciplinary team of strategists, designers, change consultants, and technologists

Provide mentorship, coaching, and structured development to grow future practice leaders

Collaborate with other practice leads to embed inclusive, adaptive, and future-focused mindsets across the firm

Thought Leadership & Influence

Represent ojas.design in work futures, HR tech, and organisational innovation spaces

Develop and publish thought leadership on topics such as distributed work, AI-human collaboration, workplace equity, and behavioural design

Stay ahead of emerging trends in productivity tooling, workforce policy, human capital, and digital transformation

Skills and Competencies:

Significant experience leading consulting or in-house transformation related to the future of work, organisational design, or productivity strategy

Strong understanding of digital collaboration tools, operating models, and workforce analytics

Demonstrated success in facilitating change at scale-ideally across people, process, and technology dimensions

Experience working across HR, technology, operations, and leadership functions

Deep appreciation of the social, cultural, and emotional dimensions of organisational change

Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills with experience navigating executive, union, and front-line relationships

Background in behavioural science, design research, or change psychology

Familiarity with platforms such as Microsoft 365, Notion, Miro, Slack, Viva Insights, or AI-enabled productivity tools

Experience with frameworks such as OKRs, agile at scale, design sprints, or sociotechnical systems design

Exposure to sectors undergoing rapid transformation-e.g., professional services, education, healthcare, or tech

About You

You're a forward-thinking organisational leader who cares as much about how people feel at work as how work gets done. You blend systems thinking with a strong people-first philosophy, and you know how to redesign environments, processes, and technologies to unlock both wellbeing and performance.

You understand that productivity is not just about tools, it's about culture, clarity, energy, and purpose. You bring a strategic lens to human challenges and a collaborative mindset to complex change. Whether advising executives, mapping team dynamics, or coaching delivery teams, you operate with empathy, curiosity, and rigour.

You are excited to shape a new practice area in a firm that values experimentation, inclusivity, and meaningful work, and you believe the future of work should be designed with intention, not left to chance.
