Job Description

Ready to revolutionize healthcare, making it faster and more accessible than ever before?

How we started:

Back in 2013, our founder Dwayne D'Souza saw an opportunity to give people faster and more convenient access to medications using technology. We've grown rapidly since our inception, without any external funding whatsoever - achieving profitability through innovation and a highly disciplined approach to growth.

Where we are now:

We've earned the trust of millions of people worldwide through our top-selling products and well-known brands: MedExpress, Dermatica, ZipHealth, RocketRX, and Levity. Our success is driven by having our own pharmacies, manufacturers, and products - led by in-house medical teams, researchers, and pharmacists. Between 2023 and 2024, our global revenue tripled from £60m to £180m (300% year-on-year growth). We aim to replicate this growth in 2025 by expanding into new territories and accelerating our journey. There's never been a more exciting time to join HeliosX.

Where we're going:

Over the next five years, you'll support our goal to become a world-leading healthcare partner by deepening customer relationships, expanding into new countries, and diversifying our product portfolio to treat more conditions. You will help more people access prescription treatments and make personalized care better, quicker, and easier for everyone.

Come be part of making our vision of easier and faster healthcare a reality!

The Opportunity:

As a Side Effects Management Nurse in our UK weight loss service, you will be a senior clinical voice, setting standards for clinical excellence, patient safety, and wellbeing within the clinical team. This role will collaborate closely with HeliosX's Ops Team Leads & GP Leads to deliver safe and effective care to our UK patients.

The ideal candidate will have experience triaging unwell patients in primary or secondary care and be a confident, compassionate communicator with excellent patient care skills.

Preference is for this role to be full-time (5 days/week), including 1 weekend per month.

This is a 6-month remote contract, with occasional visits to our London office (2-3 times per year) for training and workshops.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Support & Patient Safety

  • Work remotely using our secure Electronic Health Records (EHR) system
  • Triaging and managing patient-reported side effects, identifying red flag symptoms, and initiating appropriate actions or escalations
  • Providing high-quality clinical advice, guidance, and reassurance to patients regarding their treatment and side effects
  • Following established clinical pathways and protocols for consistent, evidence-based decision-making
  • Responding promptly and empathetically to patient queries via phone and email, maintaining high standards of care

Clinical Risk Management & Escalation

  • Proactively identifying, documenting, and escalating clinical concerns or patient safety risks to the appropriate clinical lead, GP, or healthcare facility
  • Communicating with GPs as required
  • Liaising with secondary healthcare facilities for referrals
  • Participating in root cause analyses or case reviews following incidents or near misses to foster learning and service improvement
  • Adhering to clinical governance processes and contributing to risk management protocol improvements
  • Escalating concerns related to safeguarding, mental health, or vulnerable adults
  • Proactively following up with patients regarding side effects or care continuity

What You'll Bring

Qualifications:

  • NMC registration

Experience:

  • At least 5 years of direct clinical patient care, preferably in triaging, emergency, urgent care, or diabetes/obesity management in primary or secondary care

Core Skills:

  • Excellent clinical judgment and patient risk assessment skills

  • Confidence working autonomously in a fast-paced, digital healthcare environment
  • Compassionate, calm, and patient-centered approach
