The Role:

Your Duties:

• Carry out cleaning duties safely and correctly at all times
• Maintain high hygiene standards in all work areas.
• Follow all Health & Safety, Food Safety, and Hygiene procedures.
• Use cleaning chemicals safely and follow COSHH guidelines.
• Never mix chemicals.
• Wear the correct PPE at all times while cleaning.
• Ensure machines are safely switched off before cleaning where required.
• Report any damaged equipment or safety concerns to your Line Manager immediately.
• Follow the correct cleaning methods and instructions.
• Help support Production and Quality teams when extra cleaning is needed.
• Ensure cleaning activities do not create any food safety risks.
• Work safely and support the safety of other team members.
• Carry out any other reasonable duties requested by management.
• Follows food hygiene, cleaning, and safety rules at all times
• Maintains good personal hygiene and uses PPE correctly
• Uses cleaning chemicals safely and as instructed
• Reliable and punctual
• Understands basic English to:
• Follow verbal instructions
• Read safety signs and cleaning labels
• Communicate with supervisors and team members
• Previous experience in cleaning or food environments
• Food hygiene or safety training/certification
• Willingness to learn new tasks and procedures
• Ability to complete simple cleaning records or checklists
• Flexible with shifts or work areas
• Hygiene Standards - Cleans work areas thoroughly to protect food safety
• Health & Safety Awareness - Works safely and follows procedures
• Communication - Uses basic English to understand instructions and report issues
• Teamwork - Works well with others and supports colleagues
• Responsibility - Takes ownership of tasks and follows ruleS
• Positive Attitude - Approaches work in a professional and cooperative manner
