Our client, a well-established independent classic and prestige vehicle workshop based in Ashford, Kent, is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join their specialised team. This Vehicle Technician role offers the chance to work on rare, historic, and high-end vehicles, making it the perfect position for skilled professionals passionate about craftsmanship and bespoke projects.

Duties of the Vehicle Technician:
  • Perform routine servicing, diagnostics, repairs, and restoration work on a range of prestigious vehicles, including Mercedes-Benz, AC Cobras, Hummers, and American muscle cars
  • Handle complex mechanical and electrical repairs with great attention to detail
  • Utilise specialised diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve issues on high-end and historic vehicles
  • Follow manufacturer and restoration standards to ensure quality workmanship
  • Work closely with team members to deliver exceptional service and maintain workshop standards
  • Support the workshop's organisation and cleanliness, ensuring a safe working environment
Requirements for the Vehicle Technician:
  • Proven experience working on Mercedes-Benz vehicles, ideally with factory training, or extensive independent Mercedes-Benz dealership experience
  • Strong background in working on high-end and classic vehicles, with a passion for restoration and high-quality craftsmanship
  • A minimum of several years' experience in vehicle repair; long-term Mercedes experience (30+ years) highly valued
  • Exceptional attention to detail and pride in delivering precise mechanical work
  • Good diagnostic skills, preferably with experience using specialised diagnostic tools
  • Capable of working independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid UK driving licence
