LEV Engineer - Ipswich

An opportunity has arisen within a leading air hygiene company known for their expertise in delivering services and validations to clients across the UK. They currently seek an experienced, qualified and hardworking LEV Engineer based in and around the Ipswich area. The ideal candidate will have hands on experience in undertaking the testing, installation, and maintenance of Local Exhaust Ventilation systems to a varied site base including experience in testing Class 1, Class 2 and Class 3 fume cupboards. Applications from Colchester, Felixstowe, Braintree, Stowmarket and the surrounding areas will be considered.

Qualifications & Experience

• must hold the P601 certificate.
• Previous hands on experience under-taking the testing, installation, and maintenance of L.E.V systems is essential.
• Experience in working on class 1, class 2 and class 3 fume cupboards.
• Experience carrying out clean room validations would be beneficial.
• Proven track record of producing technical service reports.
• Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal.
• Good IT skills with sufficient experience in MS Office.

Postholder responsibilities

• Undertaking local exhaust ventilation (LEV) testing, validations and maintenance on a varied site base.
• Testing Emissions, reviewing and approving assessments.
• Carrying out clean room validations.
• Collating, writing and advising on technical reports.
• Providing a consultation and advisory service to clients.
• Under-taking fume cupboard examinations.
• Visiting sites designated by the client and addressing any issues effectively.
• Ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with the Health & Safety procedures and legislation.
• Presentations to staff, company and contractors regarding occupational hygiene.
• Building and maintaining a professional working rapport with clients.
