Job Description

East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust is looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic full time Ledger Clerk to join our dedicated team of Finance professionals.

You will be a self motivated, pro active individual with a positive attitude and good communication skills. You will be able to flexibly manage your workload and provide a full service in purchase ledger, ensuring the ledger is accurate and backlog is kept to a minimal.

Main duties of the job
  • Process invoices and credit notes in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and ensure that action is taken to keep accounts up to date.
  • Liaise with suppliers to resolve any issues or disputes.
  • Ensure all work undertaken is within the policies of the Trust and adheres to an anti fraud attitude.
  • Any other ad hoc duties as prescribed.

Qualifications
  • Good general education including GCSE in English and Maths.
  • GCSE Maths A C / 4 9.
Experience
  • Minimum 6 months experience in either sales or purchase ledger sections within a large complex organisation.
  • 1 year's previous experience working in both sales and purchase ledger.
