The QC Product Analytical Testing (PAT) department is part of the quality control team at the Kaiseraugst and Basel sites. It supports local customers and the global network at these locations.
The API Raw Material, Elemental Impurities & Excipients Testing team is part of this PAT Quality Unit and is based in Basel. As a laboratory technician (m/f/d), you will make a significant contribution to the quality control of raw materials and active pharmaceutical ingredients through precise analyses, thus ensuring the safety of our products.

The ideal candidate has completed vocational training as a chemical laboratory technician (EFZ, CTA, or BTA) and possesses at least 2-3 years of experience in analytical methods using HPLC, GC, titration, IR, UV, and wet chemical techniques. Ideally, they have in-depth knowledge of Agilent HPLC systems and EMPOWER software, as well as experience with GMP guidelines in a laboratory environment. Furthermore, they are characterized by a hands-on mentality and are familiar with LIMS systems.

Main tasks and responsibilities:
• Independent execution and documentation of chemical-physical analyses using various analytical methods in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
• Review of raw data
• GMP-compliant documentation of results on the computer, as well as participation in the processing and documentation of deviations
• Ensuring data integrity within one's own work area

Must-haves:
• Completed vocational training as a chemical laboratory technician (EFZ preferred), chemical technical assistant (CTA), biological technical assistant (BTA), or equivalent
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in analytical chemistry using HPLC, GC, titration, IR, UV, and wet chemical analyses is required. Ideally, you have experience with Agilent HPLC systems and the EMPOWER software.
• GMP experience in a laboratory environment is required, as well as hands-on experience with LIMS systems.
• Fluent German, both written and spoken; English skills are desirable.
• Excellent teamwork skills, a willingness to adapt to change, strong logical reasoning skills, and an affinity for laboratory IT applications.
