Job Description

We are looking for an awesome Junior Sous Chef to join our Kitchen team at The Mitre, Hampton Court.

Responsibilities
  • Lead our kitchen team, in the absence of the Head Chef.
  • Ensure that all chefs are briefed ahead of service and are familiar with day to day expectations and requirements.
  • Ensure that the necessary stocks are on hand at the right quality and quantity.
  • Ensure that timetables, leave rosters and attendance registers are up to date.
  • Ensure that all statutory, as well as company, hygiene regulations are being strictly adhered to and maintain records and logs.
  • Monitor and maintain a strong understanding of health & safety compliance standards, so the team adheres to current legislation.
  • Maintain open communication with the front of house team, ensuring the whole F&B operation runs as smoothly as possible.
  • Ensure that each dish leaving the kitchen is checked for quality, quantity, presentation and correct temperature.
  • Engage with relevant training and development for your role for further advancement.
