Job Description
Overview

£35,278 - £46,111 + excellent benefits

Instructors are fulfilled by making positive changes in young people. You will work with children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder/Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs to help them learn, develop their abilities and raise self esteem. You will be resilient and dedicated; the rewarding outcomes come from the progress you enable for each pupil. Witherslack Group provides support from in house psychologists, teaching assistants and therapy professionals, with well resourced school environments and ongoing development opportunities.

Luxborough Court School is a brand new, purpose built facility registered for 150 pupils aged 5-19 with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Facilities include a large sports hall, a bespoke 6th form suite and multiple spaces for therapeutic intervention and bespoke support, plus extensive outdoor space and multiple play areas.

Location: good public transport connections via Chigwell Station (Central Line) and proximity to the M11/J4.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and deliver vocational and academic PE/Sport Science qualifications
  • Instruct children across all key stages
  • Work with children with SEN, preferably in a SEN setting
  • Engage pupils, relate subject matter to individual learners and build strong relationships
  • Contribute to department development and classroom delivery
Qualifications & Experience
  • Experience instructing children across all key stages
  • Experience working with children with SEN, preferably in a SEN setting
  • Ability to lead and deliver vocational and academic PE/Sport Science qualifications
