Job Description: Leading, coaching and developing the UK HR Operations team, to deliver HR Shared Services (employee administration, HRMI, HRIS, Travel & Expenses and Contingent Labour administration), HR Advisory Services, Payroll and Pensions process and Compensation & Benefits (aligned to Global C&B delivery) Alignment of governance and control processes with Global HRSS. Management of local HR systems. Delivery of HR Operational excellence through efficient, compliant, and employee-centric services that enhance business performance and support strategic HR objectives. Provide leadership, development and coaching to a team of HR professionals delivering HR Operations to the UK businesses and functions, aligned to Global HRSS, Global C&B and Global Labour Relations Develop, communicate and monitor KPI's/SLA's across all HR Operations activities, holding direct reports accountable for delivery and improvements where necessary. Management of £multi-million budget. Responsible for management of all local HR systems (including Workday, Travel, Expenses, SAP HR, and Bodet), continuously seeking improvement opportunities to enhance HR service delivery. Ensuring excellence in delivery of all employee lifecycle admin in the UK, including onboarding and offboarding Accountable for ensuring that all mergers, acquisitions, mobilisations and integrations are pro-actively supported for payroll, pensions, systems and data requirements or other related areas Accountable for pro-active development, and provision of all people data & MI for Global & business reporting to facilitate effective workforce planning and wider decision making across the HR function and UK business. Ensuring compliance with J-Sox and other internal and external audit requirements - supporting the audit process and leading on implementing actions identified Ensuring Compensation & Benefits delivery in UK as referent for COE, feeding into Global C&B strategy with local needs and market intelligence Ensure accurate and timely payroll and pensions delivery through development and monitoring of KPI's/SLA's and, where appropriate, implementation of identified remedial actions Accountable for HRIS, Travel & expense system management Ensure that all Eployee Relations matters are managed in a compliant and timely manner, acting as a point of escalation for complex or commercially sensitive cases/ matters Identifies, drives and implements continuous improvement initiatives, primarily (but not exclusively) focussed upon global alignment and greater optimisation of HRSS efficiencies to enhance delivery to the business Pro-actively collaborate with peers to deliver a consistently high-quality, respected HR service Job Skills, Experience and Qualifications Qualifications Essential Formally accredited or degree level HR qualification, or relevant experience operating at senior level Demonstrable experience of leading high performing teams Results oriented with a focus on achieving operational excellence through leading and collaborating across multiple HR cohorts, to deliver fully integrated solutions. Strong understanding and application of HRMI In-depth working knowledge of UK employment law/statutory compliance and reporting, including pensions, payroll and benefits legislation. Experience developing strategic plans with a focus on continuous improvement in HR service delivery Understanding of change management methodologies Strong influencing skills at all levels both internally and externally, as required Growth mindset with a focus on learning, adaptability & innovation Desirable Excellent IT skills - typically Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project and MS Teams. Experience within Engineering, Manufacturing or Industrial organisations, multi-site operations and/ or rail Experience of implementing digital and technological improvements and advances to provide service improvement and efficiency in delivery Experience of mergers, acquisitions, and mobilisations/demobilisations .
