Overview

Are you ready to lead transformational development and drive economic growth across Cherwell? We're looking for an experienced, visionary & dynamic Head of Regeneration and Growth to shape the future of our communities.

The Job

This strategic leadership position is responsible for delivering regeneration and growth initiatives across Banbury, Bicester and Kidlington. You will lead major programmes such as the Bicester Garden Town, Kidlington Growth area and Banbury Town Centre regeneration, oversee infrastructure projects with Oxfordshire County Council (Energy, Rail & Roads), and manage a talented economic development team. Your work will create vibrant, sustainable communities and attract investment to the district.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver regeneration and growth initiatives across Banbury, Bicester and Kidlington.
  • Lead major programmes such as Bicester Garden Town, Kidlington Growth area and Banbury Town Centre regeneration.
  • Oversee infrastructure projects with Oxfordshire County Council (Energy, Rail & Roads).
  • Manage an economic development team.
  • Build networks and partnerships with the public and private sector locally and nationally.
  • Contribute to and monitor the council's vision, strategic direction and core values.
  • Lead right first time projects and organisational change in complex environments.
Qualifications
  • Experience in regeneration, growth and development with a focus on project delivery.
  • Background in managing complex planning and development schemes.
  • Proven experience building networks and partnerships across public and private sectors.
  • Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Track record of delivering right first time projects and driving organisational change.
