Key ResponsibilitiesAs Head of Compliance, you'll lead B-engineering functions to ensure our operations, assets and supply chain operations meet all legal and regulatory expectations. You'll set the compliance strategy, embed strong conduct standards across the operational lifecycle, and act as a trusted partner to the business and primary contact for the relevant parties. B-engineering compliance requirements comprise:
- General - H&S, data protection and GDPR, employment law
- Technical Registrations - Gas safe, FGAS, NICEIC, Solar
- ESG - B-corp
- ISO - 9001, 14001 and 45001
- Asset management - Fleet of 30 vehicles, building compliance for 1 office and 1 fabrication facility
- Accreditations - safe contractor, construction line and Avetta
Regulatory Management: Stay abreast of legal, regulatory changes and developments affecting our sector. Ensure that all company activities are in compliance with the relevant laws and regulations.
Technical Compliance: Design and own a compliance audit plan and tools for Technical areas reporting on monthly performance against plan from Industry Standards and Guidance from within the BU.
Coordinate asset and fleet management across the business ensuring the fleet and buildings are safe and compliant.
Coordinate and conduct on site inspections, asset and engineer audits
Develop a supply chain strategy which aligns to the compliance standards of the business
Policy Development and Implementation: Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive compliance policies and procedures, including a robust Compliance. Ensure these are effectively communicated across the company and fully integrated into all business processes.
Act as lead audit coordinator across the business
Compliance Monitoring and Reporting: Improve our Compliance Monitoring Plan to ensure continuous compliance and address potential violations of regulatory, legal or company policies. Prepare and present detailed compliance reports to senior management.
Risk Assessment and Management: Conduct thorough risk assessments related to compliance issues. Develop risk mitigation strategies to prevent compliance breaches.
Training and Development: Develop and deliver training programs on compliance and regulatory requirements to employees at all levels of the organisation. Ensure staff are aware of their roles and responsibilities with respect to compliance and consumer protection.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance compliance frameworks and practices. Provide expert advice and guidance on compliance matters to senior management.
Advising the Board and Executive Management: Act as a key advisor to the board and executive management on all compliance-related matters. Offer strategic insights and recommendations to guide decision making processes and ensure the company's compliance posture aligns with its strategic objectives.

Desirable Experience / QualificationsHND / Degree level Experience:
Electrical: 5 years (preferred)
Licence/CertificationDriving Licence (required)
