The Group Accountant plays a key role in supporting on the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of financial reporting across ITG's global operations. This role is part of the team responsible for consolidating group financial results, managing statutory reporting requirements, and supporting senior leadership with insightful financial analysis.
The Group Accountant is a key contributor to the continuous improvement of reporting processes and systems, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Group Consolidation & Reporting:- Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual group consolidation process across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
- Prepare and deliver timely and accurate consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
- Deliver to the reporting timetable and ensure all deadlines are met.
- Oversight and review of reporting of subsidiaries and holding companies.
- Support in the preparation of consolidated indirect cash flow reporting.
- Manage the preparation of statutory accounts for all legal entities within the group.
- Liaise with external auditors to ensure smooth and timely audit processes.
- Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement in reporting processes, controls, and systems.
- Verification of financial consolidation tools.
- Develop and maintain robust documentation for reporting procedures and controls.
- Enhancement of balance sheet reconciliations.
- Act as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on group reporting matters.
- Collaborate with finance teams across the business to ensure consistency and accuracy in reporting.
- Provide training and guidance to finance teams on reporting standards and best practices.
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with a strong academic background.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a group finance function.
- Demonstrated experience in financial consolidations and reporting, with a thorough understanding of IFRS or relevant accounting standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial information.
- Proficient in the use of financial systems and consolidation tools, with advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across different levels of the organisation.
- Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
