The RoleWe are seeking a proactive General Haulage Planner to organise loads, routes, vehicles and drivers so goods move efficiently and legally.

- Coordinating the movement of goods, that includes:
- Assigning jobs to drivers and vehicles
- Planning cost efficient routes (fuel, time, tolls)
- Scheduling deliveries and collections
- Monitoring driver hours and compliance
- Reacting quickly to issues such as traffic congestion, breakdowns or last minute jobs
- Prior transport operations and general haulage experience essential
- Strong organisation and multitasking
- Good geographic knowledge (UK roads, motorways, restrictions)
- IT skills (transport management systems, Excel, tracking software)
- Good communication (drivers, warehouses, clients)
- Attention to detail
- Problem solving under pressure
- A transport related qualification desirable however experience and willingness to learn are paramount
