Let's shape the future of energy - together.
At E.ON, we're building the energy system of tomorrow - clean, digital, and customer-centric. Our Residential Flexibility Programme is at the forefront of this transformation. By connecting electric vehicles, heat pumps, home batteries, and smart tariffs, we enable customers to participate in a smarter, more flexible energy world.
As Strategy & Partnerships Lead, you will be at the heart of this journey. Your mission: turn market shifts, partner dynamics, and technology trends into concrete growth paths for E.ON. You'll help define where we play, how we win, and who we team up with to scale.
Your impact - what you'll do
- Shape strategic direction: Lead assessments on evolving business models (e.g. aggregators, platform players, OEM strategies) and identify strategic options for E.ON's positioning in the Flex market.
- Translate insight into action: Convert regulatory trends, partner moves, and innovation signals into actionable guidance for product, commercial, and technology teams.
- Drive ecosystem partnerships: Identify, structure, and initiate strategic partnerships across hardware, software, and service layers - from LOIs to integrated commercial models.
- Craft future-ready propositions: Design monetisation models that bring together flexibility hardware, orchestration capabilities, and energy products (e.g. dynamic tariffs, V2G-ready EV plans).
- Connect the dots across regions: Facilitate strategic alignment and knowledge flow between lead countries (e.g. UK, DE, NL) and central platform development.
- Communicate with influence: Prepare strategic updates, Board papers, and executive briefs that frame direction, choices, and trade-offs in a clear and compelling way.
Your profile - what you bring
- Strategic mindset, hands-on drive: You combine big-picture thinking with the ability to shape and land concrete initiatives.
- Flex and DER market knowledge: You understand the emerging ecosystem around residential flexibility - from energy retail to OEMs and new tech challengers.
- Strong partnership toolkit: You've structured LOIs, MoUs, or strategic partnerships before and know how to align interests across boundaries.
- Analytical and commercial acumen: You're fluent in business model thinking, value chain analysis, and regulatory opportunity framing.
- Experience: 5+ years in strategy, business development, partnerships, or corporate innovation - ideally in energy, mobility, or digital platforms.
- Languages: Fluent in English (mandatory); German or Dutch a plus.
- Education: University degree in Business, Engineering, Economics or related field. MBA or post-grad in energy systems a plus.
