JSM are partnering with a well-established environmental, health, safety, and sustainability consultancy that supports some of the world's recognisable companies across sectors including manufacturing, technology, food & beverage, bio-pharma, and chemicals. We are seeking an experienced and proactive EHS Consultant to join our UK consulting team, based in the Southeast. The Role

As an EHS Consultant, you will play a key role in supporting multinational clients with the development, implementation, and ongoing management of global EHS programmes. Your work will span:

  • EHS regulatory compliance
  • Management systems (ISO 45001)
  • Development of written policies and procedures
  • Ergonomics and workplace assessments
  • Staff training and awareness initiatives

This position offers a high level of autonomy, with the opportunity to lead tasks and projects, liaise directly with client stakeholders, and contribute to the success of complex EHS programmes across global operations.

Requirements / What we're looking for
  • Confident working independently on complex assignments
  • A strong organiser, able to manage projects and collaborate effectively with teams
  • Skilled in technical report writing and able to make sound, insightful recommendations
  • Comfortable interfacing with clients and contributing to high-impact solutions
  • Enthusiastic about fostering a positive, inclusive, and professional working culture
  • Willing to travel to client sites and offices as required (approx. 25%)
Qualifications & Experience
  • Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Sciences, Industrial Engineering, Ergonomics, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in an EHS consulting or industry-based role
  • NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent (or relevant experience in lieu of formal qualifications)
  • Ergonomics/DSE qualification and experience is highly desirable
  • Strong knowledge of UK and international EHS legislation, guidance, and compliance standards
  • Membership of a relevant professional body is preferred
