Job Description
Applicant Form
Are you passionate about helping to make a difference to children and young people? We're looking for an experienced, confident Data and CRM Manager to join our IT & Data Team.
Our CharityNo Limits is the leading youth services charity in Southampton, supporting children and young people in the city and across Hampshire.
At No Limits, it is important our staff and volunteers reflect, represent, and have experience of the challenges faced by the children and young people we support. We are proud of and appreciate our many staff and volunteers who use their own lived experience to support the children and young people they work with.
With this in mind, we are committed to diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) in all aspects of our work and organisational culture - and when recruiting, it's important to us that we continue diversifying our staff and volunteer teams, with children and young people at the centre of everything we do. You can learn more about our DEI approach here.
When we talk about talent, we value the transferrable skills and experiences you can bring to No Limits, whether through work (in the same or a different sector), volunteering, or personal experiences. To make sure we get the best talent on our team, we are open to and actively encourage applications from all backgrounds and sections of the community, including diverse ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQIA+, disabled, and neurodiverse individuals.
Your RoleAs Data and CRM Manager, you'll be part of a small data team of three, working closely with the Head of IT & Data and end users across the charity. Within the team you will redesign the user interface and its processes and configure our systems to optimise performance. This includes redevelopment of the CRM, implementation of new features, building user-friendly front-end tools (such as Power Apps), and developing workflows and automations that improve efficiency and data quality. You'll also support the development of internal reporting tools that help teams use data more effectively in their day-to-day work.
Work closely with our third-party development company to deliver new features and benefits.
As the role develops, you'll collaborate on the design of our insight reporting approach, shaping how we surface, share and use data to track outcomes and demonstrate impact. This is a hands on role that combines technical development with big picture thinking to help embed data-driven practice across the charity.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Re-development and ongoing configuration of No Limits' Microsoft Dynamics CRM, ensuring it is fit for purpose, secure, and aligned with service and reporting needs.
- Work closely with a third party development company to deliver major product based requirements, making sure they are delivered to specification, time and budget.
- Design, build and maintain tools on the Power Platform (e.g. Power App and Power Automate), creating intuitive and accessible interfaces that enable staff to record and access data efficiently.
- Design and implement internal reporting tools and dashboards to support staff and managers in using data effectively in their day-to-day work.
- Work as part of the team on the development of No Limits' insight reporting approach, including structuring data models, defining metrics, and producing accessible outputs for internal and external audiences.
- Support teams to use data to track outcomes, evidence impact, and meet funder, commissioner, and internal reporting requirements.
Please see the job description for further details about the responsibilities of the role.
We are committed to making a difference in the lives of the children and young people we work with, and as such, you must show a willingness to demonstrate commitment to the values and behaviours which flow from the No Limits ethos. Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people is paramount.
We particularly welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds and those who have had experiences similar to the young people we aim to support. We are committed to creating a diverse environment where people can be their authentic selves, where their experiences and opinions are valued, and we are all open to learning from each other.
As part of our team, you'll receive a comprehensive induction and access to learning and development opportunities relevant to your role, supporting your ongoing growth.
You'll have the essentials of:
- Experience using Microsoft Dynamics CRM or similar large highly customisable CRM tool
- Experience with low-code or no-code development approaches for building tools and workflows
- The ability to understand what users need from a system and turn that into simple, effective tools
- An understanding of data protection (like GDPR) and how to build safe, secure systems
- Experience building or supporting reports or dashboards to help people use data in their work
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well with people who aren't technical
- A proactive approach to planning your work and meeting deadlines
- A logical and creative approach to solving problems and improving systems
- A commitment to personal growth, continuous development, and applying learning to your work
You may also have:
- Confidence or experience using Microsoft Power Platform, especially Power Apps and Power Automate
- Experience helping others learn or feel more confident using systems or data
- Experience working in a charity or similar organisation
- Experience using Microsoft 365 alongside CRM or data tools
- Familiarity with Dataverse or similar platforms for managing CRM data
- Knowledge of formulas (such as DAX or Power FX) or SQL Server database design
- An understanding of how data can help show impact or improve services
- Lived experience of one or more areas that No Limits support children and young people.
Please let us know if we can support you with any reasonable adjustments at any point prior to, during or after the selection process, such as access arrangements, flexible working, or a suitable place to pray.
