Contract: Permanent, full time, 10 Programmed Activities per week plus on-call (part time may be considered)
South West Yorkshire Partnership Foundation Trust are recruiting for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join the Child and Adolescent mental health team based at Folly Hall Mills, Huddersfield. This role plays a vital part in ensuring our patients receive the care that they need and will be an integral role within the CAMHS SERVICE.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Consultant Psychiatrist who is passionate about providing timely services in an outpatient setting and ensuring safe and effective interventions are delivered to our vulnerable population. The CAMHS outpatient team comprises neurodevelopmental, learning disabilities, crisis, eating disorders pathways and core CAMHS comprising a multidisciplinary team with a good skill set. The Consultant will work with all the disciplines of the team, and with external agencies within the child's network, to provide assessments, consultation, advice and support to ensure the best possible clinical outcomes for young people presenting to our service.
The post holder will be offered additional PAs for leadership and caseload management. There will also be opportunities to work flexibly and virtually dependant on clinical needs.

Main duties of the jobThe starting salary for this post is aligned with point 04 of the consultant pay scale (£119,490 - £145,478), in line with Trust policy for newly appointed consultants. Placement on the scale will be reviewed where applicable NHS consultant experience can be evidenced.

Person Specification ELIGIBILITY- Fully registered with the GMC and have a licence to practise or must have checked GMC eligibility and commenced the application process at the time of NHS jobs application.
- Included on the GMC Specialist Register for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry or within six months of gaining CCT.
- Approved clinician status or able to achieve within three months of appointment.
- Approved under S12 or able to achieve within three months of appointment.
- In good standing with GMC with respect to warning and conditions on practice.
- All employees of the Trust are strongly encouraged to be fully vaccinated against COVID 19 to protect patients.
- Included on the GMC Specialist Register for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry or within six months of gaining CCT in CAMHS.
- Able to deliver undergraduate or postgraduate teaching and training.
- Ability to work in and lead team.
