We're looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Commercial Sales & Events Coordinator to help deliver unforgettable experiences.
The Role As Commercial Sales & Events Coordinator, you'll play a key role in supporting the commercial department's operations, ensuring every event runs smoothly and guests have a first-class experience. This is a varied, dynamic role ideal for someone who thrives on organisation, customer service, and getting stuck into the full event lifecycle.Key Responsibilities:- Assist with putting together event, venue hire and catering packages, carrying out market research.
- Manage client communication from initial enquiry through to post-event follow-up.
- Maintain accurate data entry on the venue booking system, ensuring GDPR compliance.
- Create detailed function sheets to support smooth event delivery.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers, managing stock levels and equipment inventories.
- Support website updates with event and booking information.
- Proactively identify sales opportunities for venue hire and event packages.
- Coordinate venue hire and room bookings for meetings, conferences, weddings, and corporate functions.
- Oversee film/photo shoots, including venue preparation and restoration.
- Conduct client show-rounds and venue tours.
- Manage room set-up, equipment testing, and post-event resets.
- Book and supervise casual and agency staff during events.
- Ensure food hygiene and allergen procedures are correctly followed.
- Handle financial administration including invoicing, purchase orders and payroll data.
- Support budget management by upselling services and achieving income targets.
- Attend networking events to build relationships and attract new clients.
- Adhere to Health & Safety, fire safety and emergency procedures .
- Minimum 1 year's experience in event sales, planning, and coordination.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with clients, staff, volunteers, and contractors.
- Strong administrative skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Calm under pressure with strong problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays as required.
- Solid literacy, numeracy and IT skills.
- Health & Safety awareness, with willingness to undertake any required training.
- Desirable: Experience with stock management, emergency procedures, or charitable organisations.
