Location: Blackburn (BB1 2JU)

Shift: Nights - Mon - Thu 20:45-06:00 (35 hours)

Pay: Up to £20.00/hour DOE + x1.25 night shift allowance (Total effective rate can be up to £28/hour on nights)

Holidays: 25 days per year

Overtime: x1.3 Mon Fri, x1.5 Sat, x2 Sun

Pension: 5% employee / 3% employer

Headcount: Hiring 2-3 on nights

Role overview

Program at the control from drawings, set and operate CNC machinery on night shift to deliver quality parts safely and efficiently. You'll manage first-off approval, in-process checks and keep clean documentation.

You'll work with

• Controls: Heidenhain, HAAS, Mazak, or FANUC (on-machine programming essential)
• Materials: varied, including alloys
• Work types: batch and one-off

Key responsibilities

• Online programming at the machine; set and operate to spec
• Tooling/workholding selection and optimisation
• First-off and in-process inspection; maintain tolerance and surface finish
• Accurate job records and handovers; support
