Job Description

Gemini Worktops is a rapidly growing family-owned business. Due to continued and significant growth, we are now looking for an experienced, professional, and detail orientated Stone Worktop Finisher to join our growing team.

In this substantial role you'll be responsible for inspecting fabricated stone for defects and making repairs, perform edge polishing, honing, and finishing, profiling special edges, ensuring work meets quality standards and liaising with our installation teams.

CAM CNC Programmer - £33,990 (includes shift allowance) Depending on experience, plus overtime opportunities - Full Time - Permanent

This role would suit those candidates who have relevant experience of CNC programming, can demonstrate a professional & reliable approach to their role, confidence with creating right first time programmes for luxury worktops & experience of various CAM software packages.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Produce CNC toolpaths and programmes from 2D/3D drawings and digital templates
  • Optimise cutting and machining strategies for quartz and other stone materials
  • Liaise with the design and production teams to verify measurements and job details
  • Maintain and manage programme & tooling libraries
  • Support the CNC operators with technical queries and troubleshooting
  • Ensure all programming meets quality, accuracy, and safety standards
  • Production planning
  • Collaborate with fabricators, installers, and designers to ensure product quality and client satisfaction.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment in compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and product quality.
Qualifications & Requirements:

Previous experience in the stone worktop fabrication industry would be advantageous, though we will consider training for capable individuals with experience of using CAM software from other industries.

Preferred Experience & Skills:
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in CAM programming, ideally within the stone worktop sector.
  • Understanding of factory production workflows and quality assurance processes.
  • Production planning experience.
  • Knowledge of relevant safety standards, codes, and best practices in industrial settings.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and task prioritization skills.
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude with a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.

Shift and schedule
  • Monday to Friday, 2 shift rotation 06:00-14:30 & 13:30 - 22:00.
  • Weekend overtime availability.
  • This role will require you to work dayshift, 07:30 - 16:00 during the training & probationary period.

Experience
  • Health and Safety: 3 years
  • CNC: 3 years
  • Machining: 3 years (preferred)
  • Stone industry experience: 2 years (preferred)
