Job Description

A unique opportunity has become available for an experienced and motivated Clinical Psychologist to join a specialist neurorehabilitation service in Leeds. This role sits at the heart of a well-established, interdisciplinary team that supports adults with acquired brain injuries to rebuild their lives with dignity, purpose, and personalised care.

This is a full-time post based at Daniel Yorath House, a residential rehabilitation centre offering evidence-based, holistic care to people affected by brain injury. You'll deliver psychological assessments, therapy, consultation, and clinical leadership within a collaborative, person-centred framework.

Key Responsibilities:

As Clinical Psychologist, you will work within a multi/interdisciplinary team to deliver clinical psychology and neuropsychology input to service users. This includes:

  • Providing specialist psychological and neuropsychological assessments using standardised tools, interviews, and observations
  • Developing, implementing, and evaluating psychological and neurorehabilitation interventions tailored to individual needs
  • Setting SMART goals in collaboration with service users and the wider clinical team
  • Using a range of psychological modalities (individual, group, family) to support recovery
  • Leading on psychologically informed risk assessments and offering risk management advice
  • Contributing specialist psychological input to care planning and treatment reviews
  • Supporting families and carers through psychoeducation, consultation, and guidance
  • Coordinating the care of service users as keyworker or clinical lead
  • Taking part in unit on-call support rota as required
  • Maintaining high-quality clinical records and contributing to data collection, audit, and outcome measurement
  • Engaging in research and evidence-based practice, including supporting or leading service evaluations and psychologically relevant projects

You'll also play a key role in promoting a psychologically-informed culture, providing specialist advice to colleagues, and contributing to continuous service improvement.

About You:

We are looking for a qualified and compassionate professional who brings both strong clinical acumen and a collaborative mindset. You will have:

  • A Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (BPS-accredited) or equivalent
  • HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist
  • Graduate Basis for Registration (GBR) with the British Psychological Society
  • Knowledge of neuropsychology and relevant psychological models in rehabilitation settings
  • Strong report writing skills and the ability to communicate complex information clearly
  • Experience working with adults with acquired brain injury or complex neuro/mental health needs
  • A clear understanding of equality, diversity, and inclusion
  • The ability to manage a complex caseload, engage with unpredictable behaviour, and operate effectively within a multidisciplinary team

Experience in the neurorehabilitation field is highly desirable, though support and further training will be provided for the right candidate.
