Cleaner - Full Time

Ocean BMW Plymouth is looking for a full time Cleaner / Caretaker to join its team and support the daily function of the whole site. This is a great opportunity to join a small and supportive team and become an integral part of the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting across all areas of the business.
• Ensure that customer facing areas are always kept to a high standard of cleanliness.
• Empty waste bins and replace liners daily.
• Clean and sanitise kitchen facilities, including sinks, worktops, appliances, and cupboard exteriors.
• Clean and sanitise customer refreshment facilities as required throughout the day.
• Maintain washroom and toilet cleanliness, ensuring adequate supplies are available.
• Clear down and sanitise communal areas and meeting rooms.
• Restock kitchen and cleaning supplies as required.
• Carry out basic caretaker duties, including site checks, reporting maintenance issues, monitoring the general condition of the premises, and supporting the safe and efficient day to day running of the site.
• Monitor the condition of office areas and report any maintenance or health and safety concerns to the relevant manager.
• Ensure all cleaning equipment and materials are stored safely and used in accordance with health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a cleaning, facilities, or caretaker role.
• Good attention to detail, able to deliver a high level of cleanliness and customer service.
• Comfortable working independently using own initiative as required.
• Ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
• Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
• Understanding of safe handling and storage of cleaning products (COSHH training provided if required).
