THE ROLE- Handling a personal caseload of care proceedings from initial instruction to final hearings.
- Providing guidance on special guardianship applications and other public law children matters.
- Conducting advocacy and representing clients in court.
- Delivering clear, compassionate and practical advice to vulnerable clients.
- Contributing to departmental business development and promoting best practice.
- Minimum of 2 years' PQE as a Childcare Solicitor.
- Law Society Children Panel Accreditation required, with a caseload focus on Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.
- Proven experience in public children law, managing a diverse caseload.
- Exceptional communication and client care skills, remaining calm, empathetic and professional under pressure.
- Ability to provide complex legal advice clearly and confidently.
