Here is an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Chief Cardiac Physiologist (Band 7) - Devices/Invasive. As a Chief Physiologist you will undertake pacemaker and ICD procedures, including implantation, device follow ups and home monitoring reviews.
Main duties of the jobThe post holder will be present at pacemaker/ICD implants and will analyse device and patient interaction. Based on this analysis, the post holder will report to the implanting physician whether electrode position(s) are suitable. The post holder will also carry out implantable device follow up clinics using dedicated device programmers, write reports, and independently initiate pacemaker therapy prescriptions based on clinical findings.

Person Specification Experience- Qualifications equivalent to gain registration with HCPC as a Cardiac Physiologist/Scientist
- BSc in Clinical Physiology (or equivalent)
- RCCP/AHCS Registration
- Post Graduate Education - IBHRE/BHRS
- Able to undertake brady and tachy device check independently
- Significant experience as a Cardiac Physiologist in all areas of Cardiac Physiology, with further experience as a specialist in Cardiac Rhythm Management and basic cardiac catheterisation
