Location: South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, Croydon CAMHS Treatment Team.

SummaryThis training post offers 12 months to develop expertise in CBT and IPT A modalities in a community CAMHS setting.
Main duties- Deliver individual and group CBT and IPT A based interventions to children and young people.
- Coordinate care within the multidisciplinary team and support parents/carers.
- Maintain accurate record keeping on ePJS and secure confidential information.
- Participate in clinical supervision, peer supervision, and professional development.
- Implement safety and safeguarding protocols, report safeguarding concerns.
- Minimum second class Bachelor's degree or equivalent in psychology, social work, or related field.
- 2+ years experience working with children and young people in a mental health setting.
- Experience of multi agency working and liaison across internal and external agencies.
- Proven record of academic achievement; coursework in CBT, IPT A or related theory.
- Previous training in a mental health related profession (e.g., social work, counselling, psychotherapy) is advantageous.
- Knowledge of CBT and IPT A theory and application.
- Knowledge of MHA, MCA and safeguarding legislation.
- Experience working in a CAMHS duty system.
- First level nursing qualification/registration RMN or RSCN.
- Doctorate level qualification in Clinical or Counselling Psychology.
- First level qualification in OT, social work, or equivalent.
- First level qualification in Art, Drama or Music therapy with related experience in the psychological aspects of caring for children and adolescents with mental health problems.
- Specialist knowledge and training in therapeutic approaches commonly used in CAMHS such as CBT, DBT, Family Therapy etc.
- All applicants will require a professional training and relevant clinical experience, including CAMHS (or clear evidence of transferable skills) in combination with professional registration with one of the following statutory bodies: the Nursing Midwifery Council (NMC), Health Professional's Council (HPC/ HCPC), Association of Child Psychotherapists (ACP), social work England or the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).
You will receive formal training through KCL and UCL in CBT / IPT A and ongoing supervision from senior clinicians.
