Job Description
Role overview: 
We are seeking a skilled Assistant Manager with strong leadership & communication abilities to guide the team towards achieving sales & KPI targets whilst providing unparalleled service.
Responsibilities:- Supporting the Store Manager in effectively running all store operations to ensure meeting or exceeding sales & KPI targets. Setting clear sales goals, tracking performances whilst evolving processes to ensure continuous store growth.
- Creating a positive team culture through recruiting, training & continuously developing staff. Building a motivated and high performing team, increasing chances of store success.
- Analysing sales data and financial reports to make quick and well-informed decisions alongside the Store Manager, identifying and responding to areas of opportunity operationally & commercially.
- Act as the point of contact for colleagues in the manager's absence.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving complaints professionally.
- Help manage day to day operations, including opening and closing procedures.
- Support cash management tasks, such as processing transactions and reconciling tills.
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training new employees.
- Provide feedback and coaching to colleagues to improve performance.
- Support the Store Manager in maintaining colleague schedules to ensure proper coverage and productivity.
- Contribute to achieving or exceeding the store's monthly sales target.
- Drive all additional KPIs including but not limited to Units, Conversion, ATV, UPT.
- Achieve upselling or cross selling targets.
- Maintain a high Net Promotor Score.
- Ensure stock accuracy during store audits.
- Ensure all new colleagues complete mandatory training.
- Ensure employee satisfaction or engagement survey results meet or exceed company benchmarks.
- Assist in keeping operational costs within the allocated budget.
- Previous supervisory or management experience in a fast paced retail / customer facing environment.
- Passionate about retail & hold a good understanding of the latest trends and competitors.
- Previous experience of coaching and developing individuals.
- Strong communication skills.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and KPIs.
- Experience in analysing KPI data to make commercial decisions.
- Keen eye for detail & commerciality. Prior experience within visual merchandising would be advantageous.
