Job Description
Assistant Management Accountant (Maternity cover)

Closing date: Monday 10 November 2025. Salary: £24,230 - £25,230 (pro rata) per annum (£30,287 - £31,538 FTE). Contract type: Fixed term until 31 December 2026. Working hours: 28 hours per week. Location: The Lodge, 1 Armstrong Road, Oxford; hybrid as of 1 April 2026, address at Compass House, Farmoor Court, Farmoor, OX2 9LU.

We are looking for someone to join our friendly and proactive Finance team! The Assistant Management Accountant will help nature recover by ensuring that our financial records are accurate and updated in a timely manner and securing our future by maintaining the sales ledger.

What you'll be doing
  • Assisting in producing the monthly management accounts
  • Assisting in the monthly reconciliations of all bank accounts, cash, income
  • Working with the membership team to ensure the monthly reconciliation and recording of membership income
  • Managing the sales ledger function and credit control
What we're looking for
  • Level 3 AAT (or equivalent qualification), or relevant track record and knowledge
  • Track record of assisting in the production of management accounts
  • Track record of sales ledger processing
  • Skills and knowledge of banking processes
Contract

Fixed term until 31st December 2026.

Hours

28 hours per week, flexible working pattern in agreement with line manager.

Location / Hybrid Working

The Lodge, Littlemore, Oxford with some hybrid working. From 1 April 2026 the office will be at Compass House, Farmoor Court, Farmoor, OX2 9LU.
