Asbestos Lab Analyst - Loughborough

Our client is an established and growing asbestos consultancy who are currently recruiting for a professional and technically minded Asbestos Lab Analyst to join their busy team in the Loughborough area. The successful candidate will have extensive experience working within an asbestos lab and ideally hold the P403 qualification and have experience in soil testing. Applications from Market Harborough, Tamworth, Melton Mowbray and surrounding areas will be considered.

Qualifications & Experience

• Must possess the P401 asbestos qualification.
• Holding the P403 will be beneficial but not essential.
• Will have supervisory/management experience within an asbestos lab setting.
• A strong technical, quality, audits, and laboratory background essential.
• Good communication skills both written and verbal.
• Proficient in using the Microsoft Office package.

Key Responsibilities

• All analytical instrumentation/equipment used is to be maintained regularly.
• Ensure working environment is kept clean and tidy at all times.
• Compliance with all the Health and Safety requirements of the role.
• Oversee the laboratory team and ensure work is carried out effectively.
• Ensure samples are appropriately dealt with and stored correctly.
• Monitor work carried out and maintain stocks of materials, etc.
• Liaise with clients on a regular basis.
• Carry out audit checks.
• Ensure that the quality systems are carried out in accordance with the company's procedures and policies.
• Build and maintain a good relationship with the company's mixed portfolio of clients.
