There is a huge shift in the media landscape as a new generation of consumers engages with social media to research products and shape their buying decisions rather than searching in traditional channels. About The RoleWe're expanding our client team! We're looking for an Account Director who is passionate about social commerce and TikTok culture, audience and engagement, and can contribute to the development of our client team at this early stage of Onyx's high growth. You will already have experience in social commerce, or performance marketing, ideally able to build effective TikTok Shop, Ads and Organic content strategy to meet clients' business goals. Expertise in the functional dynamics and growth drivers of TikTok Shop, including product onboarding, live-stream optimisation, affiliate mechanics, and end-to-end seller operations will be critical in this role. Experience agency or brand side developing long term TikTok Shop strategies is a huge benefit.
You will:
- Understand our clients' business requirements and act as their strategic advisor on TikTok Shop performance
- Build great relationships with our senior clients, up to Marketing Director and CMO level and lead informative and effective client meetings
- Hire, manage, develop and mentor account management team members
- Define and manage exceptional client delivery processes from onboarding to optimisation and reporting
- Work with your client team to develop optimisation strategies to improve sales and profitability on campaigns
- Identify areas of growth, and test and learn plans within your client portfolio
- Stay up to date with industry and platform developments and share industry best practice across the business
- Continually innovate for and work closely with our business founders to develop the Onyx proposition

Essential skills for the role:
- Proven ability to manage and meet sales objectives and targets and manage senior stakeholders in agency or brand environment
- Extensive experience of managing a social commerce, social media, TikToK Shop/Ads management in an agency or brand environment
- Deep interest in and insight into digital marketing industry trends
- An inspiring and empathetic leadership style with experience managing and developing an account or delivery team
- Strong educational background to degree level or equivalent
- Excellent presentation, data analysis and reporting skills to lead client meetings and deliver positive outcomes
- The ability to think and work independently in a start-up environment but with strong collaboration skills
- Natural tenacity to solve problems, overcome conflict and get things done
- A logical and detail-focused approach to process design and improvement
Additional skills a bonus:
- Additional European language from Italian, Spanish, French & German
- STEM subjects at A-Level or equivalent preferred
